Continuing on his theme of "securing the border" with Mexico, Governor Schwarzenegger praised the efforts of the Minutemen in Arizona this month. "I think they've done a terrific job," Schwarzenegger said of the "Minuteman" volunteers, who plan to expand to California in June. "They've cut down the crossing of illegal immigrants a huge percentage. So it just shows that it works when you go and make an effort and when you work hard. It's a doable thing."

The Governor clarified his remarks earlier this month calling for a "closing" of the border, meaning nobody coming through at all. He rephrased his comment saying we should "secure" the border. For everyone that does not reside in the semantics driven world of the Left, the distinction is clear. Securing the border means taking measures to stop illegal immigration and allow those who follow proper and legal immigration procedures to be welcomed to our country.
