Also, it has made me re-evaluate what the Republican party stands for these days beyond taking and keeping power for the sake of being in power.
Lastly, in the back of my mind I have this feeling that the Karl Rove like figures are manipulating the MP somehow - maybe us being angry at the Repubs works in the Repubs favor somehow - or maybe it is designed as a way to get activists to let off steam and get distracted.
Why do I say that? Sean Hannity started advertising the MP - and Sean does nothing without official party talking points in front of him.
Has Bush acknowldged this yet or other Republicans for that matter?
BTW, I don't consider Governor Schwarzenegger to be a Republican.

Right on Destro. I used to listen to Hannity a while ago and then just quit. After turning on the radio about 2 weeks ago I heard him saying how illegals coming across the border just want to work hard like everyone else. I guess then according to his philosophy the drug runners are just trying to make ends meet also. Maybe if people wake up and stop voting for just either Republicans or Democrats and move on to 3rd parties, we can restore some sanity to our country. Spare me this Compassionate Conservativism crap. Sounds more like Liberal Republicanism.
