WEEHAWKEN, N.J. - A pregnant woman traveling home in a taxi went into labor and gave birth Thursday while her cab was stuck in traffic at a tunnel toll booth.
Ibrahim went into labor as the taxi approached the Lincoln Tunnel during the morning rush hour to take her and her husband back to New York City after a visit with friends in New Jersey.
Police and transportation authority agents assisted in the birth, and the mother and newborn were taken to a hospital in nearby Hoboken.

It's my nightmare .... !!
What a relief. I was really getting worried that Muslim women aren't having enough children.
I'd hate to be the next person to hire that cab. . . .
Are they legal?
I think taxis are legal in every state. :)
Good thing it didn't happen in front of Planned Parenthood.
Guess that makes the baby a NJ baby vs. a NY baby. It would be interesting to see how the birth certificate reads.
That would teach them to take a cab in the Lincoln Tunnel during rush hour -- 9 months pregnant -- what were they thinking? They could have been down there for days.
So? She can breast feed, I assume.
