Gator meat is only tasty if it's deep-fried in fresh batter. It's usually pretty tough. It's more of a novelty than a delicacy. There is a reason why the Golden Arches doesn't have a Gatorburger!
Most gator leather is farm raised nowadays - easier to catch, I suppose.
