It seems he was making a perfectly reasonable request of the district. People of non-Christian religions have had their children excluded from certain teachings/classes or had the curriculum altered altogether. I don't see how his request differs from others that have been granted.

And people in my area wonder why I've withdrawn my kids from the public screwal.
