yes, my comment about clinton is quite telling: it indicates that I can differentiate between what a person is saying and how they are saying it - unlike some on here.

W can give a great speech, and can do well at a press conference - tonight is not one of those occasions. Please give me an example of an issue that was brought up tonight where his answer will have convinced anyone that he is right. One. Please. Not gonna happen. He is not "ON" tonight. He can do better, and has done better.

He just said "OK" as he sighed, while holding his left hand up for 3 seconds before saying "Mr. Knox"

and for those that think that Clinton would not make a great used car salesman because of his rhetorical ability - well, you are blinded by your hatred of the man and what he stands for and you do a disservice to yourself and the conservative movement.

Ok - W just made a funny comment about the tv shows that are getting ready to air. His best line of the night. That is telling....

I thought his explanation about how a spouse dies and his money in SS "just goes away" was quite good, and is exactly right.

I also thought linking the Korean nuclear threat to the missile defense program was quite good.

As a recent op-ed article stated, educating the American people about an issue they haven't been thinking about before is a long, drawn out process.

Social security reform is an education process first.

Nothing GWB said tonight made a difference to you because you have already thought about this issue.

But for many Americans who haven't thought much about this issue and the energy bill issues, this was a good, neighborly presentation of the problem and some of the proposed solutions.

Bill Clinton talked "purty", but by the end of his Presidency most people knew everything he said was a lie.

So, the straightforward, awkward Jimmy Stewart approach does get through to more people now than a slick lie.

The Prez did a good job. He broke out of the censorship wraps that the MSM have put him in.
