Doctors in Belgium recently released an injured Iraqi girl who was wounded during the US invasion. The hospital billed the US embassy. One of the docs said, "I bet they won't pay." The bill is 66K.
I thought maybe we could raise the money (using our tax returns) and pay it off with a little extra for the girl to show this moron up. Any takers? Anyone wanna get a .org going and get this taken care of real quick? If we could raise 60K+ for this website, don't ya think this is worth it - help an Iraqi girl and spit in the face of Euro trash (a little harsh, but whatever)?
I ain't got much, but I'll be the first to give if we can get this thing up and running.

The US does many free surgeries and treatments for third world patients and doesn't whine about payment. So I suggest the Belgians show some true compassion instead of trying to score cheap political points.
And the reason you want to pay this IS? I say let them eat cake. They certainly weren't an ally during the war and their chances of collecting it from the girl are slim and none.
Just as soon as Belgium settles up with us for WWII.
Idiots.
Unfortunately all the extra dough is used taking care of Mexican citizens in the emergency rooms back here in the states. I think the Belgium folks can eat this one.
Fat, miserable Belgian bastards.
B/c they helped a girl we injured?! Kinda thought we would take some responibility for hitting the girl with a bomb, carzy me. Seriously, I mean we're all getting our tax returns back right, we want to keep our money to do with it what we want right? well we all also wanted this war and this girl is the collateral damage of that decision, shouldn't we each fork out a few bucks to shove in the Bel's mouth? Is $5 not worth helping someone we hurt and laughing at a Euro?
Maybe FR, can set something up? I'd be more than happy too donate what I can.
Jeff
If this is true, talk about showing your a$$. Makes we wonder if they treated the girl to help her, or just to use her as fodder to stick it to Americans.
"Doctors in Belgium recently released an injured Iraqi girl who was wounded during the US invasion."
Wounded by whom? Iraqis and foreign insurgents killed and seriously injured a lot of Iraqis during this war.
We aren't responsible to pay for the medical expenses of anyone hurt during the war.
But we can be responsible for raising some money up and make this Belgian jerk off doctor, eat his words :)
Jeff
we should raise the money give it to a charity and give shit to the doctor from belgium
what part of "wounded during the US invasion?" don't you understand - the INVASION, not post war reconstruction/stability/nation building. BOTTOM LINE: we invaded their country, this assumably innocent KID was hurt. The Euros are trying to make us look back, let's spit in their face with our American generosity.
it's not worded exactly like that - it says, one doc said I doubt they will pay. Same thing in essence. Bottom line, who cares why they did it, if it's propaganda just to make us look bad, etc. Who cares? Let's spin it back to our favor - let's prove them wrong, let's be the bigger better people.
Screw the Belgians.
agree 100%, but can we do it by calling them on their word?
not nice to be inaccurate with quotes.
Why pay ? Set the precedent, then what ? Everyone will want to be paid.
This little girl has no use for Americans.
Nice try, but..Forget it.
whoa..... thread starter's account banned !
Am I in before the ZOT ?
NO! It would be setting a precedent and there would be thousands of more such incidents!! NO!!!
