He waited till she is out of prison and now they are starting a family. I dont have a problem with this relationship at all.

They're both consenting adults now and she's "paid her debt" so, if marriage is in their future more power to 'em. But at age 12 he didn't qualify as a "consenting adult".<.p>

Disagreement on this point isn't optional until you've had a 12 year old son or daughter. If, after that, you still don't agree - let your wife's sane relatives raise them.

That's a little ass-backwards, isn't it? Their children are 6 and 7.

"Proudly brought to your household by Philadelphia based Comcast"

Can we get a list of advertisers/sponsors posted to boycott, please?

Whatever fee is paid for the rights to this criminal farce is just flat wrong, helps legitimize this and creates a market for more of the same....

I tend towards the "live and let live" approach to the world, but I have to wonder what she put in his head when he was 12 that made him so dependent on her. While most of us 12 year olds were experimenting with the opposable thumb, he was, uhhh, how should I say, having a Coke (the real thing, y'know). But she flipped some switch in his brain that was not intended to be flipped by someone 20 years your senior (not a big deal with the younger one is 30 or 40, bit it is when you're 12).

She absolutely creeps me out. Complete denial about her age as compared to his. She thinks she is still 20 something (in this amateur shrinks opinion).

Yes, but...in this case, the teacher was a woman in her early 30s and the student was an eleven or twelve year old boy when they began a sexual relationship.

I like what Bill Maher said. "I dont care if your child has read Harry Potter in twenty minutes. He is still not talented." Then he showed a picture of this boy and said, "He is talented."

You want me to feel sorry for the boy? Boy reach sexual maturity completely different from girls. Hence the double standard.

Students and teachers have been marrying for a long time. A lot of univ professors marry their students and that has been going on for a long time.

There's a bit of a difference between a university professor getting on with his/her students and a grade school teacher and his/her students.

The latter perversion is relatively new.

No, I don't want you to feel sorry for the boy. My point was simply that this particular couple is freaky.

No doubt. That is why I think they are perfect for each other.

He waited till she is out of prison and now they are starting a family.

They 'started the family' when he was 14, and she was married to someone else with whom she had kids. She went to jail for that inappropriate relationship. It continued and she apparently got pregnant while she was in prison (did they allow conjugal visits for them when she was in jail for having had sex with him when he was underaged?), and had their second child.

I wonder what her other children think about their mother abandoning them for her boy toy?

He is hardly boy toy material. It could be possible that she has found love. You need to see how long this marriage last.

I dont think he was a toy for her. I think she really loves him. But, I don't think he had the emotional maturity at 14 to love her. Now, maybe she does which makes me believe that he also did at 14. That seems to be the age we all find first love.

"Students and teachers..." Right.

When I saw this reply, I thought to myself, "That just drips with disingenuousness." Your further explanations bore me out.
