The Spanish police released Sanel Sjekirica on Monday evening after having been cleared of any suspicion of being involved in the recent attacks in Madrid. He said that the police had questioned him about Serham Abdelmadzid who is suspected of being directly involved in the recent terrorist attacks in Madrid. Sjekirica emphasised that he had not been arrested but detained for questioning. He signed a statement that he would be available to the police for possible identification of suspects. He believes that somebody wanted to make him a "Balkan connection" with terrorism. source
