As rescue operations continue in the train derailment in Amagasaki, west of Osaka, Japan, additional dead have been recovered, bringing the toll to 102 (56 males, 45 females, 1 unknown).
This is the worst train accident since the 1963 accident at Tsurumi, near Yokohama, and the 6th worst train accident since the end of World War II.

I had to look it up but I remember reading about this one. I believe it had the most deaths in a train accident.
