Sam Robertson and George Will had a splendid little debate on "This Week with Dave Brinkley" a few years ago. Sam was complaining that the GOP Congress was starving the budget. "If one penny could go to curing cancer, shouldn't we spend it?"
Will's reply was priceless and shut Sam down immediately, I'll paraphrase, because I don't remember the exact quote: "If one baby who's been aborted since Roe v Wade became a scientist who could cure cancer, shouldn't we consider that?"
