" There is one thing I do not like about the Shield, though, and it is that they seem to just "forget" characters and lines. For ex., what the hell happened to Tevon?? and what about Shane's wife?

Exactly. They did have a throw away line about Tevon a few episodes ago, which did nothing to answer the hanging story line.
The same with Danny's partner, Julien-one episode he's gay, the next he's married, the next episode he's back to being gay, then he's trying to have a baby with the wife, etc.
That story line has been mercifully dropped.
Ronnie is burned , traumatized and disfigured last season and now he's fine and dandy.
Agree on Shane .
Which is too bad, because before this season, he was one of my favorite characters.
I also think that somehow Rawlings and Vic will find out about Aceveda's seamy side and they will team up to expose him .

Do you ever listen to the commentary?

I've watched a few of these, and I get the sense that the multiple directors is a problem for continuity; and that when the writers see something going down a blind alley, they drop it rather than tactfully resolve it. That's the worst thing about "Shield." I half expect Tevon to get his full memory back, come out of that hospital and beat the livin' hell out of Shane . . . and his skinny wife!

Agreed on Shane---they have made him a little too "redneck," and "Lem" (Len?) they have made a little too wimpy.

On Ronnie, they tried to explain his burns by having him with a beard. You can see a little scar there.
