"a deposit at an odd time of the month"
How is that determined?..........
Maybe that means people who are self-employed and don't make deposits on Fridays or the 15th and 30th.

Guess since I'm self-employed (and have a bad habit of depositing checks in the wee hours of the AM at irregular intervals) that I'll be on the list :)

Thats me alright. I'm self employed and have no idea how much I'll be depositing or when. At the end of the year I have a mountain of deposit slips. I would hope that the bank system would recognize the erratic nature of my deposit
history and clearly see there is no pattern.

Therefore, if you are making large, irregualrly timed depostis, Uncle Sam wants to make sure you are paying your taxes, whether you are a criminal or not.
