Seriously, all kidding, joking and hyperbole aside.
It really has the appearance of a thought disorder, like paranoia.
Pure chance would suggest that they would be correct some of the time(even a broken clock is right twice a day); but when they are constantly drawn lemming like to the wrong conclusion virtually 100% of the time; their has to be some pathology at work.
