The Dream Act has not been passed yet and we as Americans have to protect our Children. Colleges only have a finite number of in-state tuition slots. For every in-state tuition slot that an illegal immigrant child gets, an American child will lose. And to be frank, with the high cost of college these days, a lot of American children can only attend college if they go at in-state tuition cost. The supporters of the Dream Act are saying that the illegal immigrant children should not be blamed for their parents bringing them into the U.S. illegally. While this is true, the American children should not be blamed either. But they are the ones who will pay the cost. The supporters of the Dream Act say that illegal immigrant children (50 to 60 thousand a year)that are not given the opportunity to attend college at in-state tuition cost will possibly be the criminals we will have to deal with later on. That is a total cop out and sounds like scare tactics or even a threat to me. And what I ask you will happen to the American children who will not be able to go to college because they lost a slot for in-state tuition to an illegal immigrant child, couldn't they become criminals too. The Dream Act Supports are not supporting American children, so we have to. Write your congressman/senator and tell him to vote no to the Dream Act and Yes to American children. American children should come first in American. It is their home. I really think that those of us who are against illegal immigration need to do demonstrations and start speaking out. Do not be afraid. One of the things that these pro-illegal groups will be the first to say is that you are racist. Blacks and other minorities will stand with you. I am Black and I can tell you, it is not about race to me, but about econimics. We have to take care of our own citizens first. Americans should support Americans. Spread the word to your friends, relatives and anyone who will listen. Most Americans do not even know about the Dream Act. Well it is time they did.

Hi Edie.

I see you are passionate about this, as we all are. In light of the impending Hurricane, Rita, this probably won't get much notice at this time.

So we need to post another thread after the storm passes to bring this to the forefront again.

We can't let this sneak past us.
