It's costing me about an extra $150 a month. At least that much.

At 50 cents a gallon increase in price, you have to be using 300 gallons a month to get to $150 more a month in gas costs.
What are you driving and how many miles a month are you driving?

Obviously you drive for a living, travel for a living, or just plain live very very far from work.
Which is it?

It's costing me a lot extra, too. That's money I'm not buying other goods with. It's why we will have a recession in about 2 years at the most. And it's going to be one of the main issues that hands the dems the Presidency in '08. I don't argue that the Republicans could do much besides end the multiple summer blends and push for refineries. It's just that they're not even doing that. And they're not TALKING about the problem in any visable way.
Instead, most Republicans seem to be like the people on this thread. "Problem? There's no problem! Gas should have been this expensive anyway! It's cheaper than bottled water!" Whoops, just lost middle America.
