re: top 50 names

Sounds surprisingly like a cast listing of daytime brainwashing...er dramas.

Whatever happened to family and/or biblical names?

Looks like family names are out but I did notice a couple of biblical names on the list. Personally I prefer Jawaana or Jatisha to some of the bland names on this list.

Let me clue you in ~ people who do not have Hebrew names are missing out on something. Everyone in my family has such a name, and then maybe a second or third name with a different source.

One day a Jewish lady work associate was once telling us about all of her aunts and uncles. She had one uncle, Robert. I replied that I too had an uncle Robert. Then she said she had an aunt Naomi. I too have an aunt Naomi.

Then she went into the heavy hitting with a Mary, Jean, June, Sophie, Nancy and Ruth ~ and, lo and behold, I have aunts with those names as well.

So, I pulled the one upsmanship ~ I asked her if she also had an aunt Christine!
