Interesting. What makes you so sure?

The current government has ruled it out. With U.S. pressure I'm sure that the administration that takes charge after the election is likely to be less rigid -- but surely it is going to be very tricky. Do you risk enflaming Shia anger in the south at a very promising but precarious time?

I wonder if forcing disarmament by the end of the year, might be rushing things. What do you reckon?

The pressure will be great on Hizballah to disarm. The whole process in the Middle East is moving quickly and in the right direction. There is absolutely zero excuse for Hizballh to have weapons. I tend to think that they give up their arms voluntarily and peacfuly.
