I don't care much for Specter's politics, but I think he's posturing (speaking to both Repubs and dems), trying to find a compromise solution that will prevent the necessity for a vote on eliminating the filibuster. The Repubs (RINO'S) trying to forge a compromise are Specter, McCain, Collins, Snowe, and Hagel.
Are you that optimistic or that naive?
Specter is out for Specter and his worldview and his worldview doesn't match ours and he couldn't care less about the judges we want on the bench. He will do what he can to obstruct.
