There was a front-page article in Monday's
Los Angeles Times. People are getting fed up with illegal immigration and they've had enough. And my bet is the Republican rank and file will back someone who takes the issue seriously. Its never too late to start running for President. I agree with Joseph Farah that Tom Tancredo is the only guy who could beat Hillary Clinton. When it comes to down it, I guess the question we have to ask it ourselves is what kind of an America do we want to leave to our children? Accusing Americans of "nativism" as President Bush has done, is a slap in the face to all of us who want to see our country maintain its sovereignty. Its a despicable canard and for the record, I'm not exactly a native-born American citizen. Yet I think illegal immigration is wrong, its harmful to our national security, to our middle class American Dream and to the preservation of our sense of nationhood. And millions of Americans today feel the same way. To put it simply, American elites - the political and corporate class in this country are out of touch with the average American voter.

Americans are indeed fed up with illegal immigration. If anyone watched the "Hannity & Colmes" show on Tuesday night, they saw yet more video examples of total lack of border security on this nation's border with Mexico. Our borders are no more secure than they were before 9/11/01.
