Anytime you deal with Democrats, Democrats win.
Personally, I believe that somewhere down the line, the Republicans will cave.
Frist needs to change back to the Constitutional standard now.
Gutless, Spineless GOP Senators ALWAYS manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Here is the note I have been attaching to every request for money I've gotten from the GOP for the last few weeks:
Dear Republican Party Leader:
I will not be donating to the National or State Republican Party Organizations until the following things happen:
1: The Republicans in the U.S. Senate "develop a spine", and quit letting the Democrats and the media set the agenda.
2: The Senate and House Republican leaders start enforcing some discipline over individual members, and teach the "RINOS" like McCain, Chafee, Voinovich, Specter etc. that there is a cost to stabbing the President AND the people that elected them in the back.
3: The President, the Republican Senate and the Republican House members start getting tough on the Illegal Alien Invasion. Not just talk, but action.
Until that happens I'll only donate directly to the individual candidates whom I believe deserve my support. As it stands now, I am sick of the Republican Party as a whole.
You are lucky that there isn't a viable, truly conservative alternative party, or I'd change my affiliation immediately.
