The mother tried to save the baby....just not perfectly enough or thoroughly for TNiga's taste. A mother who tries to save the baby when she awakens to the truth of what she's doing does not deserve comparison to the abortion profiteer (especially when the abortionist has standing instructions to refuse aid in this kind of situation). The moral distance between this mother and the abortionist is tremendous. Astronomic.

Oh, I agree with that wholeheartedly. AFAIC, she's a casualty of war in this instance. She probably went in there with the whole 9 yards spiel of "lump of flesh", "no sentience", etc... Also, while tragic, her story will end up turning a lot of hearts...

I don't think either of you grasp that, but that's not my fault.

I grasp it easily enough. It was just the sheer pretentiousness you came across with in that post in dealing with someone, who, from posts I've seen on another thread, appears to be genuine FR material and doesn't need immediate chasing off by some old time FRossil (and I mean that in good camraderie).

Oh, and I was a n00b a long time ago, when people were justified in wondering if I was a disruptor or not.

The "n00b's" who count now and are needed might hang around if people treated them with respect, at least until they start actually posting DUish BS and demonstrate otherwise...

Save your clever "asshat" bon mots for someone who cares.

Care or not, it's bons mots, and combining it with clever is redundant...

Here I'll have to differ. Some people only think they're clever. I'm not referring here to you, just generally speaking. Some bon mots are clever, some are painfully hackneyed and awkward.
