I see your point. And more groups might get more sustained media attention.
I just didn't want there to be so many spin-off groups that the 4-state border watch organized by Chris Simcox in October wouldn't have enough volunteers to make a big impact on Washington. (And wimp that I am, I prefer not to hang out on the border in August!)

(And wimp that I am, I prefer not to hang out on the border in August!) I really hope this thing keeps up the momentum. A lady friend of mine said she might want to volunteer after she retires and I might join her.
And the border watch groups can become into so much more than they are. They are a grass-roots political movement separate from the both the Democrats and Republicans. I wouldn't be surprised if it evolves into a third party.

I wouldn't be surprised if it evolves into a third party. Hmm, I wonder why DC is getting nervous about people being assertive. A third party is what America needs right now!

Wouldn't that be something! I was just hoping the MMP wouldn't lose it's fizzle too soon, but if it evolves into a truly conservative 3rd party, it'd be a dream come true.

Never heard of that show being near Los Angeles.
I am very glad that the folks are getting the respect they deserve for their efforts and I believe this topic is only going to grow and fester until the illegal issue is handled to the satisfaction of the tax paying public.

>>the MMP wouldn't lose it's fizzle too soon,<<
The MMP stated last December, went from 100 to 1000 in 3 months. 1000 to 10,000 in 1 more month when people realized that it wasn't going to be a shooting match and that it wasn't a nutcase outfit. I wouldn't be surprised to see the numbers go to 100,000 and actually close the broders from coast TO coast.
The amazing part in my mind is that the majority of volunteers are what most people consider "old folks". After all it doesn't require much physical ability to hold a pair of binoculars or dial a phone, does it?
This is Neighborhood Watch Program that nobody could have forecast!
