Bolton's Troubled Nomination Should Focus on the U.N.

Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd has happily taken on the role of attack dog in attempting to derail John Bolton, President George W. Bush's nomination for ambassador to the United Nations. Dodd was vocal on Sunday as he attacked Bolton on the CBS program "Face the Nation." When asked if he thought Bolton should withdraw from consideration Dodd loved the idea, "I would hope he would."

No question Chris Dodd would love for Bolton to quit, that would make it nice and easy for Dodd and his liberal friends.

Dodd feigned concern for the president, "I think he's going to embarrass the president. I think he's going to ... have a very difficult job serving if he's confirmed narrowly by the Senate. He should withdraw or the president ought to withdraw this nomination.
