Why didn't she learn about different adoption options? Many people who want a baby would help her pay the delivery bills and for her pregnancy visits. She went 22 weeks pregnant. She could have gone 18 more and the baby would live and go to loving parents who would adopt him. She planned his death so carefully, wouldn't planning his life been more rewarding?
This reads like a script to a sick horror movie.
Ping!
It pains me so much to hear these stories and this isn't a first by any means.
I notice the article mentions the woman's detail of the room being dirty. Women get infections in these places. Sen Jim King didn't want to pass a bill requiring abortion clinics to be required to adhere to the same standards of sanitation require in operating rooms. I thought libs were for protecting women, guess they aren't as full of action when it comes to monitoring the sacred baby murder mills.
If she was raped, then why didn't she report it immediately and get medical attention, such as a D & C or morning after pill? I will pray for the child, but as far as she is concerned, I have no sympathy for her, she knew exactly what she was doing.
This woman is a NUT.
Playing herself as a victim and crusader and her poor "wanted" baby that she cuddled and "tried" to "save".
God will be neither fooled nor mocked. There is a millstone waiting to be tied around her neck for eternity.
This makes my heart hurt.
I agree, and I withhold any condemnation because the sincerity of her repentance will be in how she treats any settlement she might receive.
I think people are being overly harsh on her just yet. She made a grievous error of judgment that resulted in the death of her child. If the child had already been born before she made an error that resulted in its death, she would have received a sentence for manslaughter.
But that was not the case, and our system currently does not recognize the rights of the unborn. I hold absolute contempt for the system, and have compassion for the woman. If she is truly repentant, then no amount of contempt on my part will alter the fact that the death of her child is a burden of guilt that she must bear alone, and that only God can judge her in the end.
But as a human, prone to err, I don't have such overweening pride so as to condemn with contempt the repentant, for regardless of the sin, Jesus Christ had absolute compassion for those who repented their sins.
I do not propose that we feel compassion for those who do not feel guilt for their wrong doings. I pity those who don't realize the harm of their actions to others. I pity such people for their narrow view of the world. It is a patronizing position to take and one that earns me many enemies among my peers who believe that their actions affect them and them alone, but it is the position that best satisfies me.
So if this woman had been unrepentant. If she is corrupted by her lawsuit to seek to use this tragedy for personal gain, then pity her, because when she goes to judgment, the decree will probably be unfavorable. But to condemn her while she appears repentant of her choices? Where's the Christianity in that?
(PS - this is directed at a few other people who responded to me as well)
hey, slick, did you find out how to post to an article yet (in spite of public schooling), hee hee :o)
Sorry .... I didn't pay attention to your post because the little yellow bus that takes you to "your special" school just drove by and distracted me!! I'M GOING HOME TOMORROW, I'M GOING HOME TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ping.
Laws like this are just another form of rationalization. They basically say "sure, you can go ahead and kill as many babies as you want as long as it is done in a way that doesn't disturb anyone, but you can't kill them if you actually see them alive". What crap. Imagine a law like this extended to everyone. Sick, sick, sick.
hey, warrior, hope you made it home safe, and that you make it back to bk.
