About The Florida Bar: The Florida Bar is the statewide professional and regulatory organization for lawyers. With more than 76,000 members, the Bar serves as an intermediary for attorneys, the courts and the public. Headquartered in Tallahassee, the Bar is a unified state bar by rule of the Supreme Court of Florida.

Gads. That's a lot of people that produce pretty much nothing of value.

The bar association is typically like the AARP: something its members feel they must join though it never represents the views of the majority of them.

And we wonder why so many forget to stay up on their dues ;)

The US has more lawyers than the rest of the world combined. ..........And Democrats love it.

Nothing wrong with Florida having lots of lawyers.

With its overpopulation, eventually the Floridan Aquifer WILL go dry, you know.

Then the state will collapse into the ocean.

Hell, let's hope MORE lawyers move there. : )

I wouldn't say nothing of value, but consider that Florida has about 77% the population of Texas and roughly 7-8% more attorneys.

I was considering going to Florida and taking the bar exam so if I ever decided to move (or retire) there, I'd be licensed. Now I don't think I'll even step foot in that state again.

Do you think any one of their 76,000 members would dare speak up. I find it hard to believe they are all of one mind.
