Let me be clear: I think Lincoln is in the top 5 when it comes to American Presidents. I think that the Union cause in the Civil War was just. I think that the main reason the South attempted to secede was due to slavery and the economic system in the South that was based on slavery. I think that, despite the bravery and honor of many Southern soldiers in th Civil War, they were fighting for an evil cause.
