The NY Times author got close to hitting the nail on the head when she talked about,...her popularity into a Marxist-style cult of personality.

Couric herself is an acerbic Marxist.

The problem for NBC is that after years of conservatives complaining, it seems that others are awakening to the hate-America propaganda spewed by Couric every morning.

'Haven't watched the show within recent memory. Just didn't want to start my day seething and clenching my teeth.

First I got really sick of Ms. Couric sucking up to the Clintons. (Pun intended? Your call.) :o)

Then I realized that listening to Lauer could make my I.Q. decline by the minute.

It was either stop watching or become a raging idiot. :o)

"Today" hit a low point in July, when Saddam Hussein appeared in a Baghdad courtroom to hear the charges he will face when he goes to trial as a war criminal. All the networks interrupted their programming to show live images of Mr. Hussein - all except NBC. "Today" stayed on Ms. Couric swatting shuttlecocks with the United States Olympic badminton team.

What's amazing is that nobody in the MSM has dared lay a glove on perky Katie until now, and it's her ultra liberal buddies at the NY Times.

People don't like Katie's "attitude" on many fronts. From her thinking she's the most important person at the network to her angry liberal biased interviews.

One thing for sure though, nothing will change at the netowrk or the show.....they don't get it.

On air chemistry is also important. FOX weekend mornings is very entertaining, they all seem to have fun which makes viewing easy and fun. They also don't yell at Repuplicans like katie does.
