I spent MANY hours in the 'skeller and the Phyrst 1971-6. I moved into the Vets' House on Nittany Ave. in 1975, its prime attraction was the 5 keg cooler and cheap rent ($40/month). The Vets' House came down sometime after that. The last time I was up there, only the front sidewalk remained. Probably an electrical fire. We usually had several of those per year.
My favorite at the time was a Genesee Dark brew. Ah, so many brain cells ago!
Ah, Genesee! I liked the Genesee cream ale. This thread sure is bringing back memories.
