One visit to the Skeller and you'd understand the whole Rolling Rock thing.
The Skeller and Penn State actually MADE Rolling Rock what it is today. They sold 7 oz ponies for years (see above history). Once back in the 80's, a PSU Grad was doing the main display window at Macy's in NYC and decided to put Rolling Rock ponies in the hands of the manequins (Gee, where did she get THAT idea??).
Overnight, it became the yuppie beer of choice in Manhattan bars and it's never looked back.
Personally, I like the beer. I buy it here in FL by the keg for my tapster. It's not light, not heavy, not cheap, not expensive. It's just right.
Is it OK with you that I actually like Rolling Rock?
If I had my choice, I'd drink Stella Artois, but it's a bit expensive by the keg ($125+).
