The reason the people in Ridayh didn't help was that he was an outsider, and they assumed he was an infidel - not worthy of assisting. And since he was also a western journalist, he was deemed worthy of execution.

You have that exactly right. Even after experiencing the evil of these people up front and personal, he is STILL in denial about the nature of this struggle. He is waiting for an APOLOGY for christsake.
Of course, to admit that these terrorists aren't just misunderstood 'freedom fighters' would be admit that your whole WORLDVIEW is wrong. And that perhaps that the death of your friend and your terrible wounds are as much YOUR OWN fault as anyone else's.
Instead, he now thinks that the problem EDUCATING the terrorists that they shouldn't kill western reporters, because they are on THEIR side. Presumably, they should move on to more legitimate targets - perhaps innocent women and children on the NY subway.
We need to keep exposing these paragons of journalistic virtue for the intellectually fraudulent, morally bankrupt peons that they are.

It's amazing that not even a body riddled with six bullets and a colleague killed by a bullet to the head can open his eyes to reality.The terrorist who shot him at point blank range wasn't sneering at Rumsfield,Bush or Blair but the white western infidel who didn't deserve to live.He's still trying to justify the actions of racist and bigoted murderers who act out of total hatred.The only grievance of the radical muslim is his hatred of everyone who doesn't believe in his brand of Islam.Why can't these people admit that the world is facing another violent threat in the same image of the Nazi but with religion as its base?
