Bangladesh indulging in criminal activities, reinforcing Indo-Bangla border (India)

Agartala, Apr 23 (PTI): Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) has sent reinforcements to Indo-Bangla border along West Tripura district and was indulging in smuggling and other trans-border criminal activities following the brutal killing of a BSF assistant commandant, BSF sources said today.

The mobilisation of its forces along the border was confirmed by BDR commanding officer of seven battalion Sayeed Kamrujjaman Khan to the media in Bangladesh, the sources said here.

Khan had reportedly told the Bangladeshi media that BDR reinforcements were posted as BSF had deployed additional forces along the border following the killing of assistant commandant Jeewan Kumar and injury to two other BSF personnel on April 16, they said.

The sources refuted charges by the BDR made at a commandant-level flag meeting with the BSF on Thursday at Akhaura check post that it had mobilized forces in the border and its helicopter was making aerial surveillance.

Khan, the sources said, called up his BSF counterpart Mrityunjoy Kumar yesterday and alleged that two Bangladeshi citizens were severely injured at Bagadi, a border village in West Tripura district on Thursday night in firing by BSF.

Kumar said the two were Bangladeshi criminals trying to enter India with help from BDR and firing by BSF would be stopped if BDR abstained from helping criminals and smugglers to enter India.

No prizes for guessing, yes, Bangladesh is Islamic. India suffers a huge immigration and crime related issues thanks to Bangladesh. And now terrorism from Bangladesh.

Lots of Al-Queda links there. I know some Bengalis. Even though they admit their Government is amazingly corrupt you cannot say anything bad about it. Classic head in the sand mentality.

Don't ever screw a Bengali out of money, they will either kill you or kidnap your child. These people come from the most corrupt country in the world and have grown up to understand how to look after themselves.

Good people to be friends with as long as you don;t cheat them out of money though.

You would be more correct if you called them "Bangladeshis" instead of Bengalis. Thing is, even I am a Bengali(Hindu) but (fortunately) from the otherside of the border. Yes Bangladesh(East Bengal & majority Muslim) is corrupt and crime ridden but West Bengal(India) is different. Here the people (mostly Hindus) are among India's most cultured people quite unlike Bangladesh.
