It's almost a fact that voters do not look kindly on losers in Presidential races and if you look at the former candidates - almost all that lost have been seen as "losers" by the public.
Kerry's chance is almost for sure gone as a Presidential candidate - unless he is as he tried to claim - "the comeback kid!" LOL :)

Well - he Did serve Two months on his boat and was relieved after three wounds - One surface wound that was self-inflicted!
Should he treated with more respect - Just as much respect as he had for his fellow commrades Still in battle in Vietnam when he protested in Congress. And just as much respect as he had for the POW's after the war - some of which their relatives feel were left behind.
