Claxton was convicted in Washington state in 1991 of molesting a 9-year-old girl. He was 20 at the time, but his mother said he was developmentally much younger due to a brain injury.
She said her son required constant care and recently relied on leg braces and a wheelchair.
Our legislators in Washington State want to protect the privacy of child molestors. As is stands now we know if they are a level I, II, III offender. If they have their way a bill will pass that will prohibit us from knowing their crimes and what level they are assessed at.
It is my personal belief that those that molest or rape children should be judged by those that have been raped or molested as children. There is no such thing as REHAB for these pedophiles and if he was mentally ill, he should have been left in an institution. I'm sorry he took his life, but I'm tired of people caring more about the victimizer than the victims.
