As a matter of fact, I made my first post on FR (and nearly got banned) for stating my belief that Zell Miller - who pledged Clinton loyalty in '92 - is still their loyal tool. He only wanted Kerry to lose so that Hillary can run in '08. I still believe this.
Then you don't know Zell.
Zell is a long-time conservative Dem. He's not going to support Hillary.
sending you a tinfoil hat. Just in case the sky really is falling!
They have been very successful, ah wot?
Zell is genuine 'old time"
If Zell Miller had merely wanted to clear the way for Hillary in '08, there are other ways he could have done it without condemning the entire Democratic party the way he did.
Well Bush Sr. couldn't get around that constitutional amendment (against a third Clinton term) in 2000, so he put up his own son as a patsy to be sort of a place-holder until such time that Hillary could assume the throne (she had to get at least a senate term under her belt and Bush Sr. conspired with Rudy Guiliani - another Clinton operative - to get her a seat in New York.
The only fly in the ointment was that Al Gore. That renegade just wouldn't go along with the master plan and he almost screwed up everything for Hillary. But fortunately, Bush Sr. has some operatives in Florida (not to mention one of his other sons) that were able to save the day.
The 9/11 attacks again complicated matters. As well, the junior Bush just wouldn't cooperate fully, much to the dismay of his father. 2004 was supposed to be Hillary's year but darn it, his son just wouldn't stop acting presidential and the darn fool got himself re-elected!
But fortunately (for the Clinton conspirators), that constitutional amendment limiting a president to two terms is coming back into play. Thus the road is clear for George Bush Sr. to install Hillary into the White House for 2008, barring any futher renegade moves by his unpredictable son.
Hi Steve. Please add an Option C to your homepage. Your take on Zell Miller had me laughing so hard, I simply had to click in to see if you were a joke writer for Jay Leno.
