What it does is .. it's a show of power. The dems will call it abuse of power .. but they always do that when they don't get their way. So it won't be a big deal.

Then .. after that show of power - the dems will look even more foolish complaining about the repubs changing the rules on the ethics committee. We know why the repubs made that change and ever since they did - the snake in TX (Earle) has quit threatening to indict DeLay - what does that tell you.

These rule changes are what the dems are mad about.

The 2nd rule the dems are mad about is the rule which says that if the charge is voted on and it's equally divided - or a tie - then the charge is dropped (because the committee is made up of 5 from each party).

The repubs changed that rule also - and the dems are mad about it because with McDermott the dems could have voted to clear him and when the repubs vote to charge him - it would be a tie vote - and the charges would be thrown out.

So .. this is just more of the dems whining and not being willing to allow the repubs to be in power and the repubs better wake up and start telling the dems - WE ARE THE MAJORITY - AND THE MAJORITY HAS ALWAYS RULED - YOU WERE THE MAJORITY FOR 40 YEARS - and if you don't like it you can just darn well lump it.

Can't argue with a thing that you say. It's quite right. They are so transparently phony with their childish games. This includes Killery as far back as her "vast right wing conspiracy" claim.
