I have a deep suspicion that Voinovich is dirty.

The way he played his flop on the Bolton nomination reeks of preplanned political theater.

The vote against Bolton, is a vote to save Kofi's foul butt. Given the way Voinovich praised Biden before making his request for delay, I believe that Voinovichs vote wasn't against Bolton but rather to save the Kofi.

Maybe Maurice Strong's money had influence with Voinovich.

Voinovich said he feared that failing to give Democrats a chance to explore their concerns could undermine "a sense of decency" that often has prevailed on the foreign relations panel and "do real damage to the possibility of having a bipartisan foreign policy."

I am [bleeping] overwhelmed by this [bleep's] sense of decency, what to mention his world-class [bleeping] conscience.

<< Voinovich said he changed his mind for various reasons, including "hearing some things that bothered me" at the committee meeting.

He cited complaints about Bolton's interpersonal relationships that made him question whether Bolton treats people "with dignity and respect."

Voinovich said he also was disturbed by the outrage on the faces of Democrats on the panel who complained that they weren't being given a chance to examine allegations about Bolton. >>

Bullshit.

This ol' boy's definition of dignity and respect would include not publicly stabbing the POTUS, the committee chairman and my entire party in its collective back.

Read this guy's quotes. He sounds like a real simpleton, certainly not a deep thinker. What a maroon.

Voinovich has no confidence in the U.S. Senate. His action denied the U.S. Senate an opportunity to vote the nomination up or down. He is such a butt hole!

Your Conscience, Senator Voinovich, are you sure that was the voice of your conscience, the devil also whispers sweet nothings into the ears of the gullible. Can you discern the voice of your conscience from the voice of the devil??

I am an Ohio FReeper and I am a constituent of Senator Voinovich. I just got a phone call through to his office and I talked to a polite young man and I said that I had not intended to vote for Voinovich in the last election but President Bush asked us to all support Voinovich so I held my nose and voted for him and now I would like Voinovich to do the same thing.

I know it doesn't sound very nice but the aide said he would pass on my message and I just wanted to get my point across to Voinovich. I like Bolton and I would like to see him confirmed.

"The big problem for Voinovich is that the 50% who support Bolton's nomination voted 100% for Voinovich in the last election, while the 50% who oppose Bolton didn't vote for Voinovich at all! Voinovich is an idiot!"

You are SO RIGHT, Patti! I feel like a chump. As another poster said, I want my money back!

he doesn't need our money now, he is firmly in office for six years and he is not getting any younger. I get a call about every month from both the National Republican committee and the State Republican committee asking for more money and I am going to refuse to give more money to the State Republican committee until George Voinovich acts like a Republican. Anyone care to join me?

At the Move America Forward website we have a stats engine that tells us where people are linking to our website (which other websites, discussion forums, etc...)

There are SOOO many threads and discussion groups including Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, and left wing BLOGs and websites where the anti-Bolton people have been crowing about writing letters and making phone calls to Voinovich. They are so proud of themselves for "trying to sound middle of the road" when calling or emailing.

And dumb old George Voinovich sits there and enjoys their praise and affection for backstabbing his president and his party (not to mention poor John Bolton and his personal character and reputation). What a disgrace!

Oh, most of the complaints are coming from "outside of Ohio" what part of United States does he not understand in his title of United States Senator?
Guess if you are not living in Ohio he does not give a darn what you think? Well people give money to compaigns from outside of your state Senator V.

" the Holy Spirit moved me to withdraw my support."---Voinovich" ( Special Report with Brit Hume, April 20, 2005)

Three guesses as to why John "Convictions of Convenience" Kerry is not calling this "inappropriate and dangerous."

1. Kerry hasn't heard of "the Holy Spirit?"

2. He wants to let the ACLU take the lead in this matter?

3. God-talk is okay as long as He remembers that John Dean is the Boss?

His office didn't say it was a 50/50 split, it says the responses are split but not what the split is. It implies that there is a 50/50 split but doesn't say that. I could get one response against and 200 for and say it was split and be telling the truth. I think the split is not 50/50.

"...response split between people supporting and opposing Voinovich's action."

Well, of course it's split that way; but what are the percentages? Sheeesh!

I e-mailed him as well. Voinovich is the most politically tone-deaf legislator in recent Ohio history. Equating being a feckless pawn with principles is just one example.

"My view is that we don't need a UN Ambassador. We certainly don't need one who is going to be a patsy for the status quo."

Are you saying that Bolton is going to be more of the same...statis quo? I think that what everyone is saying about him is that he's NOT going to be...which upsets the dems feelings of political correctness.
