Wars that won't be fought (or even long-term allies that wouldn't have been (ie ExRuski nations and MidEast Reformers against rising china/communism2) We aren't giving the ME 'our' freedom, we are giving them simply FREEDOM. Its made by them, held by them, and maintained by them, and they won't give it up without a fight. To appeal to the antaganists I would say that goes for China or Islamic Theorcracies as well as it does for the 'military industrial complex' in the "west"
