Sounds to me like the investigation finished last AUgust but the commission is required to give all involved time to rebutt any findings. That's why they have the June 1 date for killing the commission. The report will be ready June 30.

If the report is ready, why would cancelling the funding prevent it's release? Takes no money to hand it to interested people.
