MIDI - PRECIOUS AND FEW - scroll down to POP section for the MIDI
Precious and few are the gonads of the GOP
They're looking like some little girlymen...that's what I see
And even though they control the votes...they let DemocRATS gloat
'Cause precious and few are the gonads of the GOP
Precious and few are the gonads of the GOP
I will rip up all their money requests sent to me
The leftist bastards win one more round...the defeat is profound
'Cause precious and few are the gonads of GOP
So, wouldn't you think that our side would use power they won?
And even though they control the votes...they let DemocRATS gloat
'Cause precious and few are the gonads of GOP
Precious and few are the gonads of the GOP
Just like the French, they hold up a white flag and then flee
The leftist bastards win one more round...the defeat is profound
'Cause precious and few are the gonads of GOP

I am reminded of the poem by W.B.Yeats called "The Second Coming".
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all convictions, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
The line "The best lack all convictions" seems to me to accurately describe the Republicans. While the Left, "full of passionate intensity" (does that fit Howard Dean to the bill or what?) rages on, the Republican leadership, for the most part, cowers in fear of losing their jobs and being criticized by the Left and the mainstream media. Heaven help us, because the Republicans sure as hell aren't doing it!

My pleasure. As I was listening to Biden yesterday and then the weak-kneed Voinovich, I was screaming. Writing songs is good therapy for me.

FROM A MEDICAL SITE ON THE NET --
This is the tale of two children, born with the outward appearance of girls, but lacking the inner passageways of either sex: no cervix, uterus or fallopian tubes, and no seminal vesicles, vasa deferentia or prostate either. They did have gonads, though: one had a boy's testes, the other had a girl's ovaries.
Both the children were reared the way their appearance demanded as girls. Both were traumatized by their physical abnormality and by society's response to it. But one of them found comfort in her role as a girl, and she eventually grew into a woman whom everyone now recognizes and treats as such. The other was a tomboy who rebelled against everything girlish; eventually she demanded sex reassignment and is a man today. So which was which?
That's obvious, you'll say: the child with the ovaries became a woman, and the child with the testes became a man. Hormones, after all, are the ultimate arbiters of our sexual fate, so how could it be otherwise?
Well, it was otherwise. The child with the testes became a woman, and the child with the ovaries became a man. This is the story of how that happened. And, more generally, it's about the biological complexity, the emotional turmoil and the medical politics of intersexes people who can't be shoehorned into the comfortable categories of male or female.
----------------------------------------------------
Do you want to know how the story ends? It has a happy ending. Both of them end up as Republican senators on the judicary committee.
