An administrator at Thurgood Marshall Academic High School faces discipline for failing to contact police about an alleged sexual assault on campus, district sources said Wednesday.
All the district would say officially was that "corrective action'' had been taken against the administrator, whom police have identified as the dean of students at the Bayview District school.
However, sources familiar with the case say the dean has been counseled and still faces unspecified disciplinary action.
Police say they have launched a criminal investigation into why the dean didn't call them immediately when a distraught 14-year-old girl told him April 6 about an incident in a school bathroom involving a 14-year-old boy.
Although upset, she told the dean that nothing had happened,

Here we go again. Another school decides to keep quiet in order to keep their ratings up.
Someone needs to take control of the schools.
Why are "administrators" immune from criminal prosecution. "Disciplinary action" should have been instant dismissal prior to filing criminal charges. Anyone else in responsible charge of children, including parents, are held responsible why shouldn't the "administrator."
School administrators who don't report rapes, teachers doing drugs and having sex with their students....nope....nothing wrong with our public schools....time for some serious union-busting of the NEA...
The way I read the original article, there were several boys she was forced to "perform" for...And many many more watching and cheering them on....Even a video tape of the incident....When will the perpetrators and the accomplices be arrested!!!!
I think you're confusing this California case with an earlier Ohio case.
