The Holden Commodore is a rear wheel drive car. It would compete with the Chrysler 300/Dodge Magnum/Charger line that has strong sales keeping Daimler-Chrysler in the black. The Commodore's powerplants are an all aluminum 3.6L V6 with VVT and the corvette's LS-1 V8. The Commodore is also available with a 6-speed manual that should give it an advantage over the auto only Chrysler 300/Dodge Magnum/Charger line.
