Yes, we have two great liars - Nixon and LBJ - and it's
hard to tell who was the worst. Of course we had ties to
VietNam going back to Eisenhower. But when the French
pulled out in 1954 we only were indirectly involved. It
was only that fraud LBJ that contrived the pretext to
escalate the war into massive involvement that finally
cost him the presidency and 58,000 American troops. All
based on a series of lies -- as historians now have proved.
