CA: Speaker wants all-or-nothing deal

Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez said Wednesday that he won't negotiate piecemeal on proposed ballot initiatives sponsored by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Any deal over redistricting, teacher merit pay and a state spending cap has to be all or nothing, Núñez said in a meeting with The Bee's Capitol Bureau.

"Here's what we're ready to do," he said. "We're ready to make a deal to get this entire collection of proposals out of the way. But it has to be all encompassing. ... In other words, what we need is a peace accord."

Rape a state and then lament that little has been done to help the state's LEGAL residents the last few years.

Fabio Nunez, the "leader" who hid behind his daughter's skirts when Ahnold called the Dem "males" "girly-men". Okay. So now he's cutting deals.
