When the situation was reversed, democrats passed whatever they wanted. IIRC the Democrats would even hold committee meetings and not even tell the Republicans members of the committee until after the meeting was over. When they are in charge they run rough shod over the Republicans. When the Republicans are in charge, the Democrats beg them to just be fair. Stupidly, the Republicans are always more than fair.

When the Rats ran the House for 40 years there was an entire WING that NO REPUBLICAN was allowed in. The day they took over after the 94 election they were shocked to find suites and offices, corridors no REPUBLICAN had been in since Eisenhower.
