As a photographer, I like the shot a lot.I don't see anything wrong with the picture other than I think they could have used warmer lighting.

It's prettier with an "e." Ann without the "e" makes me think of Raggedy Ann. Always.
Here's an example. A story about two women; one who allowed a killer to go free and another who returned him to jail: The purpose driven left

Great post! Bump for later.

I agree it's a good picture, but I wouldn't want to be depicted this way.
Stark contrast: exaggerated light skin tone and black dress gives the effect of a Rorschach ink blot. Note how the pointed toe black shoes at the bottom of the page menace. Note that the length of the lower legs are distorted by the lens and how the head seems to float above the knees, as if detached from the trunk.
She looks like the Wicked Witch of the East in this photo. Evidently this photog doesn't like her.
The more serious complaint should be that Time cropped the photo on page 34 of its April 25 edition (Ann Coulter) to falsely create the impression that it was showing anti-Coulter, anti-Bush protestors, when the "protestors" were actually pro-Bush, pro-Coulter. Specifically, it cropped out the actual captions of the signs, which read "Communists for Kerry," "Criminals for Gun Control," and "Liberating Iraqi Children from Tyranny is Costing too Much."
Ironically, Time is either caught in a Dan Rather moment of creating fake news by careful cropping of a photo or a Dan Rather moment of being so biased that it can't see what is plainly in front of its face.
