We have a winner. That is perhaps the most bizarre post ever made to me. I understand the guy's anger. I acknowledge that he earned the right. She deserved it. Because I wouldn't do it, there is a comparison of me to Dukakis. Someone please put on the Twilight Zone music.

The point about sounding like Dukakis is that your statement, "I guess it is hyperbole. I wouldn't really urinate on someone's grave. And I certainly wouldn't spit in someone's face." is similar to Dukakis' reaction to someone raping his wife.

"The issue of capital punishment came up at the October 13, 1988 debate between the two presidential nominees. Bernard Shaw, the moderator of the debate, asked Dukakis, "Governor, if Kitty Dukakis [his wife] were raped and murdered, would you favor an irrevocable death penalty for the killer?" Dukakis replied cooly, "No, I don't, and I think you know that I've opposed the death penalty during all of my life." The reply was sincere and well-put, but Dukakis' answer lacked the emotion needed for a question in which he was forced to consider his wife's death."

What does it take it evoke your passion and emotions? To make the categoric statement that you would never respond in such a human way is either more hyperbole or nonsense. Obviously, you are not a Vietnam veteran.

During the course of this thread, you have changed your position several times. Initially, you were lecturing us:

"I understand why he did it, but I really don't want our side doing that kind of stuff. I want to be able to criticize the other side. Let's not be like them.

I would have preferred that a relative hand her a personal item or momento of a man who died in Vietnam because of her. That would have been powerful. I understand the symbolism. Although they have every right, they still shouldn't do it

Then you started to change your tune:

I wouldn't mind seeing Flounder throw up on her like Dean Wormer. Instead of spitting in her face, I prefer to do it song

Then you get tough

I'll drink a six-pack of 20-ouncers first and join you. I don't disagree that it is worth spit and a lot more. I will urinate on her grave if I have the opportunity. If we are to criticize the left, however, we need to watch what we do.... Then, I would have told her that I have a rope and nice big tree at my house if she would care to finally do the honorable thing.

I'm not judging him at all. I'm sure he felt he had to do that for years of anger and not being able to release it. I'm glad the *itch isn't pressing charges. Actually, it is smart of her to not do that. Thousands and thousands have truly earned the right to do what he did.

Then you got soft again

Again, I'll say it. He and others earned the right. I guess it is hyperbole. I wouldn't really urinate on someone's grave. And I certainly wouldn't spit in someone's face.

I officially declare you the winner. This is growing very tiresome, and I have to do No. 10 in the DeLay series. And, I have to respond to the inspection report on a property I'm buying. See ya.
