Who said anything about losing? I wasn't for the Craig amendment.
It also must suck to be against 80% of the American electorate who don't condone mass deportations.
Who said I condone mass deportations Mr Wizard?
"It also must suck to be against 80% of the American electorate who don't condone mass deportations."
Definition of "mass deportation?"
Source of poll?
Actually I'm surprised that it wasn't 100% of Americans who don't condone mass deportations, because mass deportations would the least sensible way to going about solving the problem of sending millions of illegal aliens back to their home countries. We need to attack the problem at its root cause: jobs and taxpayer funded services. Cut illegal aliens off from both of these and illegal aliens would have no reason to stay here, or come here in the first place.
I am 100% opposed to illegal immigration, but I am also 100% opposed to mass deportations, because it would be 100% unnecessary.
It must also suck for you to see the front page of Free Republic right now:
Coming Events:It must also suck for you to know that the "Hold Their Feet To The Fire" event is sponsored by the Federation for American Immigration Reform. It just sucks to be you.
April 23-28: Hold Their Feet to the Fire - Washington, DC!
America needs your help. Illegal aliens and their friends in Congress are trying to derail legislation that would strengthen our borders and keep illegal immigrants from getting driver's licenses. It's time to come to Washington, D.C. and tell Congress in person what you have been telling them over the phone and in letters and faxes. This is your chance to tell Congress directly we're tired of America selling out to cheap labor and corruption (click for discussion thread).
Of course 80% of Americans would be against mass deportations a la cattle cars, the old Soviet Union style. However, deporting illegals as they are discovered in day to day law enforcement would be a good start.
