I saw an interview of Keifer on the Actors Studio just the other night. He has a grandfather in Canada who Keifer spent a lot of time with while growing up. This grandfather was a lefty and a main figure behind Canada's national health care, keifer referred to it as "the one that works". He really admires and loves his deceased grandfather and probably has a leftish tilting political orientation. Still, I liked the guy. He seems to have a good soul. That counts for a lot regardless of his present political leanings. I think he would have been good to Rush and would not have taken a A-holish stance like some other actors we could think of.
BTW, I worry about Rush, sometimes. I have no idea what he wanted to convey by that barmaid story, but I am sure he would not be happy with what he did in fact convey. Sometimes his "harmless little fuzz ball" tag seems more appropriate than at others. OK, I don't mean that as an attack, just a genunine concern for someone I do find good to listen to whenever I can. He is an important personage for us, and I dont want to see him fall victim to another sad story like the one from his Florida home.
