I've got an original 1970's copy of Late Great. I don't recall him making any date predictions. Can you point to anyplace where he sets dates? I seem to recall him specifically saying on several occasions that he would not set dates.
you are right - Lindsey is what I would consider a interpreter & commentator with the biblical gift of discernment with regards to prophecies, not that he is or considers himself any kind of prophet.
Well, not specifically, but he did say it would be "one generation" or 40 years after the formation of Israel...making it 1988...now surely you remember that?
He was wrong there, and certainly wrong about what would happen in the year 2000...
